Hello again! Thank you all for your replies. It feels VERY good to get such warm welcomes from you all :thank:. I believe you are a great group of saab-people! Region and Area: As some of you correctly have pointed out, I was not so clear about this..... We live in St Peterburg and the московский район (right?) and - YES, we actually were at the policestation in Varshavskiy Street some days ago - Im slowly learning the way to handle бюрократия with a lot of papers for foreigners. St Petersburg: Very beautiful, cafe latte ok, a LOT of traffic, and - YES, the car gets dirty very quickly. In Sweden most of us clean our cars ourself (as a little sunday excursion to the gasstation where you rent a washplace), but now I understand why there are so many Автомойки here! Our car: Not knowing if Im supposed to put pictures in some special place on the forum, Im uploading them here. The first pic is what we came with from start: Our 2008 vector - 180 000 km without any problems at all! the three following pics are what we have now: Our 2010 x. I believe that in Sweden most cars are combis (универсал). Our car is always filled with things when we travel (specially having a small child). The Russian customs always run away when they see us Finally a little more about my car history: The first car that I ever drove was my fathers 1978 saab 99 turbo (one of the first turbos built....) That one I crashed on the way to the military service, sad, sad, sad! When my sister got her license, our father was tired of us using his cars all the time (leaving them without fuel of course), so he gave us two saab 96s - mine I handpainted militay black, sad, sad, sad! After that came a row of used 95, 96 and 99s when I was at the university. Having no money meant that the cars were in bad condition from start. Most of them never passed the yearly test (техосмотр?) After that I have had 900s, one 9000, one 2004 9-3, and the two 9-3s on the pics above. Well, this ended up as a long post, I hope I didnt loose you on the way. Take care /Par
